Nathan Goldberg, OD
Dr. Goldberg is a residency trained and board-certified optometrist who practices comprehensive medical optometry.
After graduating from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, Dr. Goldberg went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry (OD) degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. After completing his degree, Dr. Goldberg was accepted into a highly competitive ocular disease and low vision residency at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Goldberg managed complex ocular disease, fit specialty contact lenses, and provided low vision services to visually impaired individuals.
Dr. Goldberg is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and board certified through the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry. This certification signifies that Dr. Goldberg possesses specialized, advanced knowledge, skills and competence in the practice of medical optometry. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society.
At Eye Physicians of Libertyville, Dr. Goldberg provides comprehensive eye care to families and individuals of all ages. In addition to providing general eye care such as diabetic eye exams and diagnosing glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, Dr. Goldberg has a special interest in fitting complex contact lens designs and treating dry eye disease. Outside of the office, Dr. Goldberg enjoys spending time with his wife Kali, and rescue dog and cat, Chelsea and Chloe.
